Priming and Business Expansion Grants

Our Priming and Business Expansion Grants can help you start or grow your existing business.

• Priming and Business Expansion Grants support the purchase of eligible fixed assets such as machinery and equipment plus the fit-out/refurbishment of premises. (No mobile assets are eligible i.e. vans etc.).
•  Priming and Business Expansion Grants may be approved covering up to 50% of qualifying costs up to a maximum of €150,000.
•  Priming and Business Expansion Grants Capital Grants are awarded on the basis that 50% of actual grant approved will be in refundable form as a Repayable Grant. 

Refundable Capital Grants

All Priming and Business Expansion Grants capital grants are awarded on the basis that a minimum of 50% of the award will be in refundable form.

• Repayment takes place over a period set out by the Board.
• A rate of 0% is charged or a rate determined by the Board.
• The promoter is required to source matching funding.

Feasibility Study Grants

• Feasibility Study Grants are for the purpose of researching the viability of a business idea/project by funding
  some of the research and development costs.
• Feasibility Study Grants cover 50% of qualifying costs up to a maximum of €20,000.
• Eligible costs include market research and prototype development.
