The Importance of Enterprise

entguide-1.jpgOn behalf of Kerry County Council I am delighted to be involved with Kerry County Enterprise Board Ltd. in producing this ‘Guide to Enterprise in Kerry’.

This information is a valuable resource for people who have a business idea and are thinking about setting up a new business, or for those who already own a business.

Kerry County Council is an important service provider. it offers sites for development, it works for infrastructural improvements, it provides advice to bring development proposals to completion and works in a coordinated manner with other agencies.

The Council acknowledges the current challenges facing the County and has consistently argued for additional resources to improve infrastructure and communications.

Kerry County Council is acutely aware of the importance of fostering entrepreneurship in our County to ensure future growth and prosperity. Supporting and encouraging entrepreneurs to realise the potential of their ideas is central to this. entrepreneurship is a major driver of innovation, competitiveness and growth. It is the cornerstone of a modern economy and the lifeblood of thriving local communities.

The Council also recognises the importance of business relocation to the County. County Kerry welcomes international business and the Kerry diaspora seeking to return and establish businesses. Kerry County Council welcomes such business and is supportive of such initiatives.

Kerry County Council will continue to work in collaboration with other agencies, such as the County enterprise Board to encourage and support enterprise growth in our County.

Our website www.kerrycoco.ie carries a wealth of information on the services of the local authority.
