The Tom Crean Centre offers a supportive environment and incubation facilities to assist innovators and entrepreneurs in taking their ideas from proof of principle to full commercial success. Incubation space of 1,100 m2 includes 21 enclosed units, meeting room, coffee dock, reception area and shared services. Innovation and enterprise are supported through established support networks and flexible licensing, allowing businesses to flourish in an entrepreneurial environment. Business training, consultancy and mentoring support are provided as well as access to in-house resources with key skill sets for start-up businesses. Research and industrial-academic co-operation are promoted, aided by the location of the Centre on the Institute of Technology (IT) Tralee campus, close to the Kerry Technology Park.

Prospective clients will be expected to have a high level of motivation in product, process development or service and an ability to generate quality, sustainable employment and income in the region. The focus of the business should be on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), biotech or emerging technologies and links with IT Tralee such as research and development, student placement or graduate employment will be an advantage.
