North and East Kerry Development is an amalgamation of the four development companies operating in the north and east of County Kerry: Tuatha Chiarraí Teo, Sliabh Luachra Development, North Kerry Together and Partnership Trá Lí. Services provided include supports for the unemployed, enterprise and community development, the LEADER/ Rural Development Programme (RDP), rural social scheme, community services programme and community employment scheme.

The LEADER programme includes support for business creation and development and encouragement of tourism activities (outside the Tralee Town Council area). Capital Assistance Grants, Technical Assistance and Training Grants are available for individuals, sole traders and companies as well as community groups and non-profit companies.

Enterprise Officers in the Sliabh Luachra and Tralee offices can assist with business plan preparation and information on the different enterprise initiatives available as well as training, mentoring and other supports.
