Kerry County Enterprise Board is committed to the development of Farmers’ Markets within the County and we are currently running a Farmers’ Market training programme.
The next courses will be held on the Tuesday 2nd February and Tuesday 9th February in the Brehon Hotel, Killarney. The first day of training will focus on individual stall holders and will contain advice on issues such as hygiene, branding, pricing and presentation.
Training on the 9th February will deal with wider issues regarding the organisation and promotion of markets. As part of the programme there will also be an open forum discussion on the future of Farmers’ Markets in Kerry and this will be attended by representatives of Kerry County Council and other state agencies.
The courses are presented by Michael Gleeson, Rural Development Consultant acting on behalf of Kerry County Enterprise Board. There is no charge for this training but prior booking is essential. For full course and booking details click here
